Frequently asked questions
- Do my guests need an app or an account?
- No. Guests scan the QR code or open the link and upload straight away — no installation, no sign-up, no cookies.
- How do I get rid of an entire album?
- In your album overview you can close an album — the QR code and links then stop working. To permanently delete all files, just email service@albumora.de.
- How do I delete a photo from my album?
- Tap the photo to open the full view and use the delete option there — or tap the ✕ on the thumbnail in the overview. The photo disappears immediately from the gallery, slideshow and every shared link; guests themselves can't delete anything.
- How do I share the gallery with my guests?
- Your album has its own gallery link for viewing and downloading. You can copy it, send it on, or show it directly below the upload page.
- Can guests download the photos?
- Yes, one by one or all together as a ZIP file — as long as you've made the gallery visible to guests. Downloaded photos have no location data.
- How long are my photos kept?
- 12 months for Basic and Business, 24 months for Complete and Big Celebration, counted from purchase. We'll email you a reminder 30 and 7 days before it expires. Extending costs €19 for another 12 months.
- What does Albumora cost, and is it a subscription?
- An album is a one-off payment, from €29. There's no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- What happens when my album is full?
- You can upgrade to a bigger package at any time and only pay the difference, or buy extra capacity. Guests see a friendly notice at the limit instead of an error.
- How do I turn the photos into a photo book?
- From 30 photos, Albumora suggests a photo book: the selection, chapters and pages are created automatically, and you can change the cover, dedication and individual pages in the editor. There's a preview PDF before you order.
- Does Albumora recognise faces?
- Not to identify people. Faces are only detected so automatic crops in the photo book keep faces in frame wherever the crop allows. There's deliberately no selfie search.
- Where is the data stored?
- On servers in the European Union (Germany and Finland). There's no advertising tracking, and guest pages don't set cookies.
- I'm in someone else's photo. What can I do?
- Get in touch with the album's host, or email service@albumora.de with the link to the gallery — we'll make sure the photo is removed.
- Does the upload work on a poor connection?
- Yes. Large files are uploaded in chunks and resume after a drop-out; the upload continues as soon as you have signal again.
